This Privacy Policy describes the privacy practices of Covalent and its platform (“Platform”) and how we handle personal information that we collect through our website and any other sites or services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Services”) for users and account holders of Covalent Platform.

In particular, we will use your personal information to perform our contractual obligation towards you to allow you to create and use an account, browse the Services, and issue, transfer, retire credits on the registry and to contact you in case of any issue with your account.
Provide you with support and to respond to your requests and complaints. If you reach out to us for support, we will perform our contractual obligation towards you by using your personal information to respond and resolve your queries and facilitate support.
Communicate with you about our Services. It is in our legitimate interests to communicate with you about our Services including by sending you announcements, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages.
Communicate with you about your Account and Projects Under the mutual contractual obligations we are required to review the outcomes of your Project and communicate with you regarding your Account activities
Improve or monitor usage of our Services and to protect, investigate and deter against fraudulent, harmful, unauthorized or illegal activity within the Platform. Under our contractual relation we have to to improve and keep our Services safe for our account holders, which includes conducting troubleshooting, testing and research and to keep the Services and the Platform secure.
Monitor and analyze trends and use of our Platform. It is in our legitimate interests to analyze the use of the Platform.
Personalize your use of our Services and our communications. It is in our legitimate interests to provide you with customized Services and communications that may be relevant or of interest to you.

Enforce our contractual obligations under the platform agreements and master terms and conditions for account holders, to comply with legal obligations and to defend us against legal claims or disputes. It is in our legitimate interests to enforce and comply with our terms and policies, to ensure the integrity of our Services and to defend ourselves against legal claims or disputes.
We only rely on our legitimate interests when such legitimate interests are not overridden by your interests or privacy rights, and we ensure we comply with any request you make to exercise your rights.

Blockchain technologies. Our Services allow you to engage in transactions on the blockchain. When you use or engage in a transaction, your information will be stored by third parties and will be accessible to the public. Due to the nature of these technologies, even if you remove your information from our Services or from the Platform, you will not be able to delete information stored on the blockchain or control who has access to it.
